Fulton Swimmers Come Out on Top

By Cameron Grower

On Thursday, February 14, the Fulton swim team won Sectionals. The Raiders did very well and it was outstanding how many records were broken.

The girls 200 medley relay record was broken by 5 seconds by seniors Jenna Ruzekowicz, freshman Rebecca Stone, freshman Courtney Pierce, and eighth-grader Aunna Metelsky. The boys medley relay record was also broken by junior Nate Archer, junior Mark Tallents, eighth-grader Teddy Clayton, and senior Ean Stevenson.

The girls 100 back record was also broken by Rebecca Stone. There were also two swimmers very close to records. Mark Tallents was milliseconds from breaking the boys 100 breast record and Nate Archer was also milliseconds away from breaking the boys 100 backstroke record.

This was an outstanding Sectionals meet and all swimmers did great! Congratulations to all of the swimmers and coaches who worked so hard this season.
