On Saturday, May 11, students are going to gather at the front of GRB near the flagpole in hopes of transforming the appearance of the school. The annual spring cleanup is being held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and all who want to volunteer are welcome.

Bring your family, friends, and gardening tools. Volunteers will plant flowers and clean up the outside of the school. Three hours of community service will be granted to those who come and help. In addition, pizza will be provided at noon for lunch.

Here is what some GRB students are saying about why they will be participating in the cleanup:

• Junior Lei Yeh said, "I am doing the school cleanup because our school holds a lot of sporting events and things so it is important we clean it up so we have a good reputation. Also, I am looking forward to it because there is free pizza."
• Senior Kylie Jones said, "I am doing the spring cleanup because throughout my senior year, I have really felt the need to give back to the community and district that has given so much these past four years. I believe it is a great thing to do with my friends and, lastly, it will beautify our school."
• Senior Maddie Baum said, "I am doing the cleanup because it is important that we not only take care of the inside of the school, but the outside, too. It really brings the school together."

Science Club Advisor Ms. Severance said they are in need of volunteers, wheelbarrows, tarps, and any other gardening tools.

Don't forget that everyone is welcome so come out and help make GRB look better on the outside and bond with the community.
