Scheduling is coming up soon and there are a lot of options for students. Starting in March, students will be scheduling classes for next year and G. Ray Bodley offers many dual enrollment courses and AP courses.

There are many dual enrollment courses with CCC, OCC, SUNY Oswego, and SUNY ESF, and they are in many subjects, including history, English, math, music, arts, science, and business. From CCC there is Principles of Accounting, Essentials of Art, Foundations for College Success, Microcomputer Application Software, Physics I and II, Western Civilization II, World War II, 19th Century American History, and Jazz Ensemble.

OCC offers Pre-Calculus and Freshman Composition and Literature I and II. SUNY Oswego offers French 201 and 202, Spanish 201 and 202, German 202, and Design and Drawing for Production. SUNY ESF offers Global Environment and the Evolution of Human Culture.

There are also many AP classes being offered at GRB such as English Literature and Composition (Junior or Senior Year), Statistics (Junior-accelerated or Senior Year), Calculus (Senior Year), Biology (Junior or Senior Year), Chemistry (Junior or Senior Year), World History (Freshman and Sophomore Year), US History (Junior Year), and Macro Economics (Senior Year).

Social Studies Department Chair Mr. Fasulo said, ¨Not only does each course save you $650 each and give you three credits, they each fulfill a General Education Requirement for SUNY. If you were to load up on these classes you could save a lot of time and money and you could potentially go into your sophomore year of college right from high school."

He added, "Students should definitely consider signing up for these classes. They're very advantageous for a student’s financial and educational future."

Senior Dani Avery said, "I think these classes are important for students to take in high school because not only do they save money, but they look really good on your transcript."

Students should start planning and deciding what courses they want to take for the next school year. Talk with a teacher or guidance counselor to get more information.
