Seniors Celebrate End of Year at Green Lakes

By Camille Stevenson

GRB seniors celebrated the end of the school year with a day trip to Green Lakes on Thursday, June 6. Over one hundred seniors went on the trip and spent the day with friends, enjoying themselves in and out of the water.

Even though the weather wasn’t the greatest, senior Shaylee Cealie noted that it was a great way to end senior year and said she had a lot of fun with her friends.

Some of the activities that the seniors enjoyed were hiking, kayaking, diving, swimming, fishing, Frisbee, volleyball, and other beach games.

Senior Hayley Vann explained that is was nice to have gone off campus to such a beautiful place like Green Lakes, and to have celebrated graduation with her friends, despite the weather being so cloudy.

Along with an amazing array of outdoor activities, the seniors were treated to a delicious lunch consisting of pulled pork sandwiches, salt potatoes (only found in upstate New York), pasta salad, chips, cookies, and brownies.

With the end of the year approaching, senior Kelly Caza said it was fun to be with the seniors on one of the last days they would be spending together.

Many memories were made at Green Lakes between great friends. The seniors will always have these memories to reflect on and remember their friends by.

While it’s sad to see the seniors go, it’s also a time to be happy and excited to see what lays in wait for their futures, and we look forward to all the great things they will soon accomplish.

Good luck, seniors, and never forget where you came from! Make Fulton proud!
