There is a new plan for Senior Day this year. Seniors are invited to go on a free trip to Green Lakes in celebration of their completion of four years of high school.
On Thursday, June 13, the seniors will be bused to Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville where they can spend the day with friends and will receive a free lunch provided by Carnegie Catering.
Green Lakes offers a variety of things to do on the lake and on the beach.
Seniors will be dismissed and will load buses between 8:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Estimated arrival to Green Lakes is 9:45 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Students will be transported by bus to the state park and are not permitted to drive.
After a fun-filled day of food and activities, students will load onto the buses at 1:30 p.m. and are estimated to arrive back at the school at 2:20 p.m. After the seniors get back, they are dismissed from school for the day.
Seniors are reminded to pack swimsuits, towels, sunblock, sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, money for activities, and anything else they would like to help them enjoy this celebration with friends.
Senior Class Advisor Mrs. Killian said, "We are very excited to offer this experience to our seniors and are looking forward to a great end of the year."
Senior students are very excited to miss a day of school and go relax on the beach all day.
Senior Jea Adams said, "I am very excited to go celebrate making it to graduation with all of my friends."
Have fun on this dedicated Senior Day, Class of 2019!
