The boys and girls indoor track team traveled to Utica on Friday, January 10 for a big track meet.

On the boys team, Aiden Longley had a personal record (PR) in the 300m dash (42.12 s) and Sidney Bradshaw had a PR in the 55m dash (7.38 s) and the 4x200 relay team placed 12th out of 17 teams.

Coach Galek said, "Our 'Friday Night Lights' track meet is a great opportunity for our runners to shine. Overall, it was a great night for competing."

On the girls team, Abby Mainville had a 3:28 in the 1000 meter run and De'Nayah Orr had a 2:09 in the 600 meter run. Those were the quickest times at the meet. Skyler Gibson threw 25'6 in shot put, and Myah Jones got a PR in shot put (21'6). Abby Mainville also qualified for Sectionals for the 1000 and 1500 meter races.

Coach Demars is look forward to Sectionals this season. He said, "We are hoping to add a few more qualifiers in the next few weeks."

The team's next meet is Saturday, January 18 at the SRC Arena at Onondaga College.
