Creativity week is almost here!
Each week, a different character trait is focused on through the Positivity Project and creativity will be discussed and celebrated the week of October 28.
To help, the Art Club is offering $5 Henna tattoos after school October 28, 29, and 30.
Henna is a dye from the Lawsonia Inermis plant that results in temporary staining on skin or clothing, which then can be made into body art. The Henna mix must rest on the skin between one to 48 hours before use in order for the Henna to deposit the best stain.
The Art Club is using this as an opportunity to raise money for their upcoming New York City trip to help pay for some of the cost to go.
"It is part of the culture experience of Positivity Week and we had multiple students who have prior experience using it, " Art teacher Mrs. Williams said.
Senior and Art Club President Kira Whitehead said, "We're doing Henna tattoos for the Positivity Project's Creativity Week and we're raising money for the Art Club's NYC trip. The tattoos are only $5 a hand."
Mrs. Williams explained they have realized a few students may experience a skin reaction to the Henna, so a completed permission slip is required.
