P2 Spreading Love

By Liz Roik

Pictured is the symbol for P2, the Positivity Project initiative taking place at GRB.

This week's Positivity Project topic was love. During Guided Study Hall on Monday kids watched a short video about spreading love and then had a discussion. Each student wrote on a heart something or someone they love. The hearts are being displayed by the cafeteria.

The video the students watched was about two best friends. One of them got a disease similar to ALS and eventually he could no longer walk. He saw an ad about backpacking 500 miles across Europe. His best friend made it happen and went with him, pushing him all the way.

Sophomore Brandy Recore said, “People have different ways of showing love. Actions speak louder than words.”

Senior Hannah Muckey stated, “Love comes in all different shapes and sizes.”

Art teacher Mrs. Williams noted, “It was enlightening to see what the kids' definition of love entailed.”
