The Music Man Continues This Weekend

SENIORS TO BE HONORED
Following Saturday evening’s performance of Meredith Willson’s The Music Man,Quirk’s Players will take a moment to honor members of the G. Ray Bodley High School Class of 2020. “We’re proud to honor our seniors,” explained Tom Briggs, Theatre Director at G. A PATRIOTIC CELEBRATION

THE SHINN FAMILY
The most well known family in River City, Iowa is the Shinn Family. Mr. Shinn (Trevor Hartle-Knapp) serves as the Mayor and his wife Eulalie MacKecknie Shinn (Megan Acker – right) prides herself on organizing everyone and everything in the city. Their two daughters, Gracie (Cassie Clarke – left) and Zaneeta (Becca Bailey – second from left) look on as they head towards the annual Ice Cream Social. YA GOT TROUBLE
Ya got trouble my friends, right here in River City. Traveling salesman and con man Harold Hill (played by GRB Senior Alex Blaine – center) warns the residents of River City, Iowa, of the perils that a pool table can cause in their city. The cure? A boys’ band – complete with instruments and uniforms, and Hill is happy to sell them everything. The scene is from Quirk’s Players’ 2020 musical production, The Music Man, which plays this week at Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School. Forming a Quartet
The mayor of River City thinks that traveling salesman Harold Hill (Alex Blaine – center) might be trying to con residents out of their money. He sends members of the school board to obtain Hill’s credentials and to find the truth. As Hill is questioned, he is able to escape from trouble as he slyly turns the bickering board members into a barbershop quartet.
