Staying Occupied

By Hailey LaClaire

Since school was officially closed in March, I’m sure many students and staff have been figuring out how to pass the time while we are all stuck in our homes. Luckily, plenty of people have found out different ways to spend their time.

I, personally, have been using this time away as an opportunity to get more artwork finished. It has also been a chance to practice my driving skills before I take my road test. Other than that, I have been completing my online classwork and doing housework.

Other students from G. Ray Bodley have also been keeping themselves busy.

Junior Evlynn Cappelletti said, “I’ve mostly been sleeping and playing video games. I occasionally walk into the woods behind my house too."

Junior Damien Hickman has also been trying to find ways to pass the time at home. “I’ve mostly been playing video games and talking to friends," he said.

“I’ve been trying to get BOCES classwork done as well as going to work,” senior Mackenzie Birdsell said.

Although these times have been very confusing and strange, it is nice to see many students have been living their lives as normally as possible. I am sure that all the staff and students of GRB are excited for this chaotic time to come to an end.
