Mrs. Boltz Says Good-Bye to GRB

By Misty Bardin

English teacher Mrs. Boltz is saying her goodbyes at the end of this school year.

Mrs. Boltz decided to become an English teacher because of her love for reading. She moved with her husband to Central New York from Michigan because he was from the area.

She has been teaching for a total of 19 years and has spent the last 11 years at GRB. She said she has always taught ninth grade English, except for the one year when she taught English 10.

Mrs. Boltz stated, "The best part of teaching at GRB was exposing my students to great literature."

She said, "I will miss my colleagues and students, especially Hannah Bort."

In retirement, she would like to travel more than she already does. She enjoys traveling and seeing new places and would like to even more now that she will have more free time.

Mrs. Boltz added, "I'm going to miss having snow days, too. They were the best."
