March 11, 2019
Monday, March 4 was the start of tryouts for the 2019 baseball season, although the baseball players have been having open gyms after school to get ready for the season.
The baseball teams always have a rocky start to the season, not being able to get a real practice outdoors. They are pretty limited to hitting in the cage indoors and fielding in the gym.
Sophomore Cuinn Burlingham said, "We are very young, but I think if we work hard we can win some games and make a run in the playoffs."
Senior Jake Ely said, "I feel this season is going to have its challenges, but if we put work in we will overcome. I can't wait to start playing games."
Sophomore Ian Bogardus said, "I think our team could have a good season if we put hard work in. Our team is really young this year but could make a good run this year."
The first varsity baseball game is scheduled for March 26.
