Seniors Say Goodbye

By Breahna Boots

This wasn't the way seniors had originally planned to say their goodbyes to the teachers they've built close relationships with over the years. However, a few GRB seniors would like to say just one more goodbye before starting their paths to life.

Senior Devanee Sabin said, "I definitely want to thank Mrs. Welling. She helped me a lot throughout high school with all my problems and always pushed me to go to class and do my best."

Mrs. Welling is the health teacher at GRB and many students have nothing but positive things to say about her and agree she is a great person to confide in.

"Ms. Palmer always helped me with my work and always helped me make sure I was passing all my classes," senior John Halstead said.

Ms. Palmer is known to be one of the most outgoing and friendliest teachers at GRB.

Senior Katie Hull would like to thank Assistant Principal Ms. Stephenson. She said, "Thank you for helping me every which way you could during my high school years. It would've been unbearable without you and all the changes you made to make my days easier."

Many students personally know from experience that Ms. Stephenson would do everything she possibly could to help out a student and make a rough day a little bit better.

"I wanna say thank you to Mr. Jones for pushing me to my peak to finish out high school, to always do my best, and to reach for the higher goal," senior Samantha Humphrey said.

Senior Alyssa Kurak said, "There have been many teachers throughout my life that have helped me become the person I am today, but the person I would like to thank the most for getting me through my senior year and being there for everything I needed help with since seventh grade would be Ms. Rickert."

She explained, "She helped me fill out all my college applications and helped the new chapter I'm starting feel just a little less scary. She even let me sleep in her office with my swollen face before my rotations started when I decided to go to school the day after I got my wisdom teeth out. She was always happy and a positive figure to see around the school. I'm going to miss hearing her laugh all the way from the other side of the school."

Ms. Rickert is known to many students as a very bubbly and positive person. She has a contagious laugh and has made many positive impacts on the lives of her students.

I personally would like to thank Mr. Broderick. Mr. Broderick is one of the most caring and nicest staff members at GRB. He's had a positive impact on many students and even staff.

Many staff at GRB deserve recognition for all they have done for their students. Thank you to all who were not mentioned.

The 2020 seniors are going to miss the staff at GRB! Stay awesome!
