Hailey Carroll graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School in 2018 and is best known for her abilities on the lacrosse field. In high school, she earned 366 points and earned several other athletic honors, including making First Team All CNY three years in a row. Carroll also was named a US Lacrosse All-American during her senior season.
Carroll has continued her lacrosse career at SUNY Albany. In her first college season she is a starter and has been a critical part of their team. She is also ranked second on the team for scoring with 26 goals. Carroll has also been named Rookie of the Week four times this season and is a strong favorite for the Rookie of the Year award.
Her brother, sophomore Bryce Carroll, explained how his sister's success has impacted his own athletics. He said, "It motivates me to work my hardest to become successful just like she has."
Carroll recently played against Syracuse in a highly-anticipated match-up at the Carrier Dome. The members of the Fulton girls lacrosse team, as well as Carroll's family and other community members, came to support her. They were certainly not disappointed. Carroll managed to score a hat trick against the #3-ranked Syracuse team, despite her team's 7-19 loss.
Senior captain Keara Patterson said, "She has been very successful so far this season so we all wanted to go see her play. It was an exciting game to watch.
Senior Dominique Johnson, one of Carroll´s former teammates, said, "I really enjoyed having Hailey as a teammate. She was the type who wasn´t worried about herself, but wanted the best for everyone and did what she could to make everyone better."
Carroll remains one of the top freshmen in the nation and is a top choice for Rookie of the Year. It is incredibly exciting to have one of our Fulton athletes have success at such a high level.
