Potok žubori...
Potok žubori...
Potok žubori, šuma šumori,
a srce dršće ko viti klas, -
hej, ovim lugom šetajući se,
arajstvo svaki beše mi čas!
Zaboravio sam teret i tugu,
mrzost, kajanje života svog;
ovde mi svaki listak šaptaše:
"Nadaj se, nadaj! Dobar je bog!"
A slavuj peva, ševa pripeva

oh, ici chaque feuille me susurrait :
O, mon Dieu !

THE STREAM FLOWS…
The stream flows, the forest noise,
the heart palpitates like a slim ear,
oh, strolling through this grove,
each of my hours was most beautiful.
I forgot worries and misfortunes,
the burden and sadness of my life -
oh, here each leaflet whispered to me:
hope, hope! it is God who invites you to it!
Nightingales and larks chirping
in beautiful branches the songs of heaven ...
Am I happy? ... I wondered.
I am happy ! happy, yes! ... Oh, my God!
