Es war größer als alles andere

Blitzte ihm die dumpfe Finsternis die verzweifelte Finsternis
Vor Verzweiflung da und dort auf
Man dachte, es wären Sterne
Es war einmal ein Gähnen
Langweilig wie jedes Gähnen

Once upon a time there was a yawn
Neither under the palate nor under the hat
Nor in the mouth nor in anything
It was bigger than everything
Bigger than its own size
From time to time
The dark dull despairing darkness
from despair here and there would blaze
One would think stars
Once upon a time there was a yawn
Boring like every yawn
And it seems to be ongoing.
