Jasmina Topić

Jasmina Topic (1977) is a Serbian author engaged in writing poetry, short stories, essays, columns and literary reviews. She has a broad experience in book-editing and moderating a variety of events, as well as in experiments with poetry, in context of multimedia. She published six sole-authored poetry books, including the latest "Beach Insomnia" in 2016, and also her stories are included in several co-authored books with other Serbian writers. Her essay "The conquering of less important truths" can be found in the special publication by Drava Verlag and KulturKontakt named "Grenzverkehr III / Aufbruch - Wohin" (Drava, Klagenfurt, 2012); also her poems can be read in Manuskripte - a journal from the city of Graz. Her poems are selected for some of the most representitive panoramas and anthologies of contemporary Serbian poetry such as "Cat Painters" (Dialogos, New Orleans, USA, 2016) and translated into several languages. She was a participant of several AIR programs includin RONDO in Graz (2014) and Kultur Kontakt (2008). Currently, Jasmina Topic is editor in chief of the literary colection called "Rukopisi" (Manuscripts) - publishing young authors from former Yugolslavia - and contemporary poetry edition "Najbolja". She is a member of the Serbian literary society.
