CVA เป็น medical term สำหรับคำว่า Stroke
เกิดจากการที่สมองขาดเลือดมาเลี้ยง เนื่องจากการอุดต้น หรือ แตก ของเส้นเลือดสมอง

WHO : In the 1970s the World Health Organization defined "stroke" as a "neurological deficit of cerebrovascular cause that persists beyond 24 hours or is interrupted by death within 24 hours" 

Stroke : อาการสมองแบบเฉียบพลัน จาก poor blood flow
ตามนิยาม stroke มี 3 องค์ประกอบ
- เป็น clinical syndrome อาการทางระบบประสาท
- สาเหตุจาก  blood flow ไปสมองไม่พอเกิด cell death
- เกิดขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็วนานกว่า 24 hr
หากอาการหายใน 24 ชั่วโมงเรียก TIA (Transient ischemic attack)
Stroke : Brain attack : medical condition in which poor blood flow to the brain results in cell death

มีสองแบบ
1.Ischemic stroke
-Embolic stroke
-Thrombotic stroke
2.Hemorrhagia stroke

อาการสำคัญรีบมา
Balance การทรงตัว เวียนหัว เดินเซ
Eyes ภาพซ้อน มองไม่ชัด ตามัว
Face หน้าเบี้ยว หนังตาตก ปากเบี้ยว หรือ กินน้ำไหลออกมามุมปาก
Arm แขนขาอ่อนแรง ชาข้างใดข้างหนึ่ง
Speech พูดช้าลง พูดผิดปกติ
Time ต้องรีบมารพ.ให้เร็วที่สุด โทร 1330 หรือ 1669 หรือ 1745
ต้องรีบให้ยา ใน 4.5 ชั่วโมง 270 นาที รักษาเร็วฟื้นตัวไว
