subject [Vsg] Journal of Vietnamese Studies institutional
subscription drive
Dear VSG,
It has come to my attention that numerous orders for JVS institutional
subscriptions have yet to make their way into the record books of
University of California Press, the publishers of JVS. Presently,
records show only twenty institutions subscribe to JVS. Please take a moment to
look at the list of subscribing institutions below to see if your institution
has a registered subscription with UC Press for JVS.
1. Stanford University
2. Yale University Library
3. Cornell University
4. University of Iowa Libraries
5. The Vietnam Center (Texas Tech University)
6. Harvard University
7. Univ of Wisconsin - Madison
8. Bates College
9. St Anselm College
10. Univ of Calif - Berkeley
11. Univ of Calif - Los Angeles
12. Swets Information Services
13. Dartmouth College
14. Southern Connecticut St Univ
15. New York Univ
16. George Washington Univ
17. Univ of Washington
18. Cal St Univ Fullerton
19. Univ of Southern Calif
20. Univ of Calif - Riverside
If your institution is not on this list and you think it should be, please contact your librarian to request your institution subscribe. It is very important for the future of JVS that institutions begin subscribing now.
JVS will publish its Vol. 2, No. 1 issue in February 2007. If universities would like to receive this issue rather than paying the back-copy prices for it, then librarians should place their orders by Jan. 30. This is the more cost-effective approach. For example, in 2006, an institutional subscription for Vol. 1, No. 1-2cost $110/year. Now, an institutional
back-copy of that issue now costs $154.
An institutional subscription with online access for Volume 2 costs
$118.
For your information, I have attached the Table of Contents for the upcoming Vol. 2, No. 1
issue.

If your librarian has any questions, you should direct him/her to email
Khalil el-Kareh at khalil.el-kareh@ucpress.edu. If you cc me on this
email at jvs@berkeley.edu, I will personally follow up on your order.
Thank you for your kind support.
Yours,
Julie Pham
