subject [Vsg] English language source collections on Vietnam

Hi folks,

I'm looking for good primary source databases or printed documentary collections

in English (apart from the Vietnam Project, which I know about) for

undergraduate papers in a course I'm teaching on 20th-century Vietnam. These

will inevitably be mostly about the war, but I'd love to hear about others that

are not. I still welcome suggestions from folks who are more familiar with the

US diplomatic and strategic angle than I am, since several of my students are

interested in that side of things and I don't know as much about it.

There may be many responses to this query - if you reply to me off-line, I'd be

happy to compile the responses and send them back to the list later as one

document.

Thanks in advance-

Charles

Dear Charles,

Though not a database of primary sources, Edwin Moise's bibliography on the war is the best of the bunch.

For oral histories other than those at Texas Tech, check out military archives such as the US Army Collection

in Carlisle, PA and the Military Institute Archives in VA.
