dear list:

i am sending list members some of pieces on Vietnam for information sharing purposes and for further discussion within the VSG community. my sincere apologies if you receive the attached files more than once. please note the following background information:

- the first two reports, sponsored by the embassy of denmark in hanoi, represent a collective undertaking with soren davidsen as the team leader (soren was with the world bank in hanoi and indonesia in the early 2000s and is currently back in denmark with the ministry of foreign affairs). the reports were carried out to mainly serve as inputs for the anti-corruption dialogue between development partners in hanoi and the vietnamese government (beginning in 2007 and organized two times yearly). vietnamese versions are also available. please let me know if you need them. the UNDP has also produced a series of policy discussion papers on governance, the media, and anti-corruption. please check the UNDP website for further information.

- the third rerport, supported by the UNDP, was carried out to serve as an input for the discussion on the review of the implementation of the public administration reform program ( 2001-2010) and the formulation of a new plan for the post 2010 period. it is a report within a series of six reports later published by the UNDP in a book form. i think jairo acuna-alfaro, undp par and anti-corruption policy advisor, posed a message back in december. if you are interested in the entire set, please contact the UNDP.

i hope to share more information to generate further discussion on vietnam when reports are released.

best,
