Dear colleagues,
I am looking for photographs of the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi on August 5, 1995, to illustrate an article. This was a significant event, with press photographers present and then-Secretary of State Christopher presiding. (I was honored to be in the audience, and remember the photographers well.) Would anyone on the list happen to know any of the news photographers or others taking pictures that day, or of other sources for pictures of this event? (There is a set of photos at Chris Runckel's website, but I am asking whether anyone knows of any others at all.)
Many thanks!

Dear Mark,
I happened to be in Hanoi the first time the U.S. flag was raised over
the Embassy in Hanoi in 1975. I went there with a photographer and we
were told that they would not raise the flag while there were
photographers present. They wanted to have a very very low key official
entrance back into Vietnam with no fanfaire. They seemed concerned
about the POW/MIA and other anti-Communist groups. We waited an hour or
so and left.
I am surprised to read that you attended an official opening of the
Embassy. That must have been later after I left Hanoi.

Might make sense to contact Adam Schwarz, who I think was still the
FEER guy, right? He's apparently with McKinsey Global Institute
these days. Could ask him who took pictures for him back then. I'm
blanking on the Time guy's name at the time...
