What is VSG?
The Vietnam Studies Group is a sub-committee of the Southeast Asia Council of the Association for Asian Studies, the primary professional organization for scholars of Asian Studies. VSG maintains a separate membership from the Association for Asian Studies, although membership in both organizations is encouraged. Dues-paying members of VSG are able to nominate officers and vote in elections. Student members are eligible for a Graduate Paper Prize for a paper delivered at the Association for Asian Studies Annual Meeting, and for travel funds for the meeting.
Membership dues are $20 for professionals and $10 for students/retired members. AAS membership is not required. Any additional funds donated will contribute to our Graduate Paper Prize and Travel Funds to the AAS Annual Meeting for students and unfunded junior faculty.
