Dear list,
Would anybody have a list of social sciences journals in Vietnam? I can't find any website or list compiling all Vietnamese journals, specially in anthropology or sociology
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards.

Hi Nicolas
You can see this review of social sciences : « Tap chi khoa hoc xa hoi » (Vien khoa hoc xa hoi Viet Nam), edited in Ho Chi Minh City.
It is not a review of social sciences but you can also see « tap chi kien thuc ngay nay », TP Ho Chi Minh.

The state bookstore Xunhasaba has a site where you can look at its journal and newspaper holdings: http://www.xunhasaba.com.vn/index.php?categoryID=103
They carry the mainstream titles, but not so good for materials published outside Hanoi and HCM.

Hello Nicholas,
Specifically in the fields of anthropology, socioloty, and cultural
studies, there are:
1. Tap chi Dan toc hoc (Journal of Ethnology), published by the Institute
of Ethnology/Anthropology
2. Tap chi Xa hoi hoc (Journal of Sociology), published by the Institute
of Sociology
3. Tap chi Van hoa dan gian (Journal of Folk Culture), published by the
Institute of Cultural Studies
4. Dan toc & Thoi dai, published by the Vietnamese Association of
Ethnology and Anthropology
5. Tap chi Van hoa nghe thuat, published by the Institute of Culture and
Arts Studies (VICAS)
Each institute in the Vien Khoa hoc xa hoi Viet Nam publishes its
own academic journal (history, economics, family and women's studies,
etc.). For example, the Southern Institute of Sustainable Deelopment
(Vien phat trien ben vung vung Nam bo, formerly SISS or ISSHO) has its Tap
chi Khoa hoc xa hoi. The Universities of Social Sciences and Humanities in
Hanoi and HCMC also have their social science journals.

One substantially over-inclusive list, but including the social science journals, is the serials subscription list from Xunhasaba. That is at the Báo Việt Nam tab (including both magazines and newspapers) on the Xunhasaba site, http://www.xunhasaba.com.vn/index.php?categoryID=103, then click on Tiếng Việt for the Vietnamese serials, or English, French, or Chinese.

interested parties could have a look at 'Tạp chí khoa học giáo dục" (Review of Education Sciences) published by Vietnam Institute for Education Sciences or "Tap chi giáo dục" (Journal of Education) published by MoET

So what kind of information does one need to have to enter these institutes? Do all of them have the same requirements for entry such as producing 'thu gioi thieu'?
Best wishes,
Grace
