Dear all,

I'm forwarding a request from a friend of mine. Any suggestion or recommendation is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Dear CACC,

For some reason I have always feel a little sad, all my life, about the fact that the Chams completely lost their country to the Viets. I have always had this urge of reading the Cham history, especially the part from the 10th century to the present time, the period that the Champa Kingdom slowly died out under the Viet pressure. But I want to read a history written by the Chams themselves. I want to hear their real voice, feel their real feelings. (Don't know why I have this urge. Probably that I was born in Quang Binh, used to be called Chau O, Chau Ri of the Champa Kingdom...

Anyway, is anyone aware of such history book? I wonder if the modern Chams (in Phan Rang, Phan Thiet, etc.) keep a written history of their people.

Thanks a million in advance.

If you can read in Vietnamese this may be a good start.
