Hello,
For an article on Thich Nhat Hanh's current sojourn in Vietnam, I am trying
to get a hold of 2 books:

Since I live in Hanoi, I don't think I will be able to get a hold of these
books by ordering them from Amazon. (The first is unavailable and out of
print anyway.) Does anyone have any ideas? Or does anyone have contact info
for Robert Topmiller?

Saigon USA by Alfred Hassler, published around 1971, focused on this
subject, with an appendix of various documents. Hassler, who was head of
the International Fellowship of Reconciliation, had close ties with Thich
Nhat Hanh and Cao Ngoc Phuong (now known as Sister Chan Khong) who was at
that time very involved with the Buddhist Youth for Social Service. There
was also a monograph written by Bo Wirmark, The Buddhists in Vietnam. An
Alternative View of the War, written in 1974 and published by War
Resisters International.
