Dear List,

Does anyone know where I can find "co hoi cua chua" by Nguyen viet Ha? I recently met the writer in Hanoi and I would like to locate his novel which was unavailable in Hanoi.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi,

The book briefly received public attention in 2000, and the person who brought it to attention is Prof. Hoang Ngoc Hien, a well-known literary critic and retired professor from Truong Dai Hoc Van Hoa. He highly rated this novel, but, as I know, not many Hanoi critics or academics agree with him. I only have a photocopied one, and never read it properly so I cannot give comment on it. I guess the best way is you get access to personal libraries or check with the publisher, which is Nha Xuat Ban Van Hoc.
