Dear VSG list members,
Do any of you know ones who are specialized in microcredits focusing on
the Mekong Delta (either they are living and working in Ho Chi Minh
City or the Mekong Delta is fine)? Could you please help me by
introducing or giving me contacts of them?

I think the best known microcredit program in the South is the CEP
(Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor) program, connected to
the Ho Chi Minh Labor Confederation. You might try getting in touch
with them through Ausaid, which funds them.

I suggest you contact Ms. Trine Glue Doan, the Director of the VUFO-NGO
Resource Centre in Hanoi. She is in communication with hundereds of NGOs
all over the country and may be able to find the people you need. Her

I believe the French NGO "Viet Nam Plus" is specialized in microcredit AND based in HCMC. Try contacting Bernard KERVYN at bkervyn@hcm.vnn.vn. See also www.vietnamplus.org for more info on the organization.

I know that Dr. Le Dai Tri is one of the experts in microcredits focusing on the Mekong Delta. His home land is Long An province. At this moment I have no his contact. However, I saw his name in the list of trainers of Social Development Training Center http://www.sdtc-vietnam.org/our_training.asp
