Subject: [Vsg] vegetarianism in Vietnam

Dear list,

A Pitzer student is trying to find someone in Vietnam who might be willing

to sponsor her research on vegetarianism. I know that Professor Huu Ngoc

has done some work on Buddhist vegetarianism -- does anyone on the list

know a good way to reach him, or whether he might provide an affiliation

for this student? Any other suggestions for Vietnamese scholars working on

food studies would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the original request:

>>> I am thinking about applying for a Fulbright to Vietnam to look at the

meaning of vegetarianism in different cultures and the way that definition

is affected by globalization. I am trying to find a contact such as a

University professor to affliate with in Vietnam while I do my research and

I was wondering if by any chance you know anyone or know of anyone in

Vietnam that works in food studies. -- Barbara Linhardt
