SDAIE: EQ/TPS: Starter: Students will write down their objective in their agenda.
Direct Instruction (5 min.)
SDAIE: Model: Classroom Expectations/Procedures & New Years Resolution: Teacher will go over the directions to the Kahoot and New Year Resolution assignment. Teacher will present the Amazon gift cards to the two students who got an A in their semester grade.
Guided Practice (x min.)
SDAIE: Progress Monitoring: Kahoot/QuickWrite: Teacher will monitor the Kahoot game and walk around helping students complete their New Year Resolution.
Independent Practice (15 min.)
SDAIE: Nintendo Effect: Classroom Expectation and Procedures: Students will play a Kahoot game dealing with classroom expectations and procedures. Teacher will provide a quick clarification after each expectation and procedure.
SDAIE: QuickWrite/CER: New Years Resolution: Students will write a QuickWrite were they will write a New Years Resolution and a 3 step guide to completing their goal. Their goal will be academic related and should be completed by the end of this school year.

Lesson Modifications for GATE, RSP, and EL Students
EL: Projector (visuals), questioning, chunking, cognitive words, repetition, translation in Spanish.
RSP: Projector (visuals), questioning, modified assignments, check for understandings.
GATE: Require answers that will demonstrate depth and complexity of fertilization.
