7.3: Students analyze the geographic, political, economic, religious, and social structures of the civilization of the civilizations of China in the Middle Ages.
7.3.3: Analyze the influences of Confucianism and changes in Confucian thought during the Sung and Mongol periods
7.3.5: Trace the historic influence of such discoveries as tea, the manufacture of paper, woodblock printing, the compass and gunpowder.

Anticipatory Set (5 min.)
Daily Journals: Students will complete the two starters for this week; starter 2/20/24 and 2/21/24. They will be reading a chunked passage from History Channel's webpage This day in History and finding evidence to support the claim that is provided by the teacher.
Direct Instruction (5 min.)
SDAIE: Direct Teach: Test taking Procedure: Teacher will go over the test taking procedures, walk them through how to enter their test through edulastic and explain that once they are done with the test they are to work on missing assignments. Students that need chromebook will borrow one from the class set by exchange of collateral.
Guided Practice (x min.)
SDAIE: Progress Monitoring: Imperial China Test: Teacher will monitor students taking the test. Walk walk around the room ensuring students aren't trying to Google answers.
Independent Practice (35 min.)
SDAIE: Metacognition: Imperial China Test: Students will work on a test that assess their comprehension of China's geography, political, economic, religious and social structures.
SDAIE: Metacognition: Missing Assignments: Students will work on their missing assignments from History and the other core subjects. If students done with everything they will read a book. They will work on their starter, turn in their work for Imperial china that was completed while Moreno was out on medical leave, finish up the China review, EdPuzzle HW, and if all is done they can read.
Homework.
