7.7.1. Study the Niger River and the relationship of vegetation zones of forest, savannah, and desert to trade in gold, salt, food, and slaves; and the growth of the Ghana and Mali empires.
8.2.7: Describe the principles of federalism, dual sovereignty, separation of powers, checks and balances, the nature and purpose of majority rule, and the ways in which the American idea of constitutionalism preserves individual rights.

Daily Journal: Students will take the Starter Quiz today since tomorrow students will be taking the PSAT.
Direct Instruction (10 min.)
7th & 8th Grade-SDAIE: Direct Teach: Kahoot: Teacher will explain the rules and procedures for the kahoot game that will be used to review both the classroom procedures, expectations, and the drafting of the Constitution.
Guided Practice (10 min.)
7th & 8th Grade-SDAIE: Direct Teach: Procedures, Rules, Constitution: Teacher will elaborate and review the answers.
7th Grade-SDAIE: TPS: Story of the Crusades: Teacher and students will review the answer to the graphic organizer covering the first four crusades.
Independent Practice (22 min.)
8th Grade-SDAIE: Kahoot/Metcognition/EdPuzzle: Constitution: Students will answer a series of review questions through Kahoot. Once they are done they will watch an Edpuzzle and answer questions.
7th Grade-SDAIE: Edpuzzle: Medieval Africa Geography: Students will watch an edpuzzle and answer questions dealing with the geography of Africa.
