7.2.1. Identify the physical features and describe the climate of the Arabian peninsula, its relationship to surrounding bodies of land and water, and nomadic and sedentary ways of life.
Expected Student Outcomes (Objective)
Students will be able to:
1. Explain, locate and Identify key geography features of the Arabian Peninsula and the importance of it being int the crosswords of three continents.

Anticipatory Set (3 min.)
Daily Journal: Historical Fact: Thomas Jefferson was the 3rd President of the United States. President Jefferson purchased the Louisiana Territory from France in 1803. This doubled the size of the United States and started the idea of Manifest Destiny.
Direct Instruction (10 min.)

SDAIE: Annotate/talk to text: The Arabian Peninsula: Teacher will guide students in annotating the text after each paragraph by using talking to the text.
Independent Practice (20 min.)
SDAIE: TRQ: Mapping: Students will label the Arabian Peninsula. Students will answer questions using the map and the passage.
