I am learning about Imperial China by:
Reviewing the geography, rise of dynasties, government, and inventions.

Anticipatory Set (5 min.)
SDIAE: Metacognition: Starter Quiz/Agenda: Students will complete their Starter Quiz based on last weeks Starters. Once students are done they will complete their daily agenda.
Direct Instruction (5 min.)
SDIAE: Model: Direct Teach: Kahoot: Teacher will go over the directions to the assignments. Teacher will guide students to their Google Classroom so they can click on the link to sign in to their Kahoot, type in their name, and be ready to play.
Guided Practice (5 min.)
SDIAE: TPS/Wait Time: Imperial China Review: Teacher will go over the answer to the Imperial China Review. Their will be some wait time in between the questions were students can check their answers with their group before going over the answer.
Independent Practice (10 min.)
SDIAE: Metacognition/Nintendo Effect/Visual: Kahoot: Students will participate in a 10 question review game on Imperial China. Winner of the game will get snack.
SDIAE: TPS/Wait Time/Graphic Organizer:Imperial China Review: Students will answer 9 review questions dealing with Imperial China. Students will have some wait time to share their answers with their group members.
Homework.
Study for the Imperial Test tomorrow.
Closure (3 min.)
1. Clean up.
2. Dismiss Class.
Lesson Modifications for GATE, RSP, and EL Students
EL: Projector (visuals), questioning, chunking, cognitive words, repetition, translation in Spanish.
RSP: Projector (visuals), questioning, modified assignments, check for understandings.
GATE: Require answers that will demonstrate depth and complexity of fertilization.
