Anticipatory Set (5 min.)
Find your desk. Students will be given numbers which in turn will have to find their desk in the classroom.
Direct Instruction (20 min.)
SDAIE: CLOZE READ: Classroom Rules: Teacher will go over classroom behavior, grading, tardy policy, and cell phone policy.
Guided Practice (10 min.)
SDAIE: Sentence Stems: Students will complete a sentence answering a questionnaire about themselves.
Independent Practice (20 min.)
SDAIE: Think Pair Share: Know my Neighbor: Students will interact with their neighbors and get to know each other. They will also understand that would be the group they are in.

EL: Projector (visuals), questioning, chunking, cognitive words, repetition, translation in Spanish.
RSP: Projector (visuals), questioning, modified assignments, check for understandings.
GATE: Require answers that will demonstrate depth and complexity of fertilization.
