Expected Student Outcomes (Objective)
Students will be able to:
Create and join their History Google Classroom.
Access their TCI textbooks through SB Links.
Create a signature for their email and send an email to the Teacher .
Common Core Literacy Standard
WHST 9: Draw evidence from information texts to support analysis reflection, and research.
WHST 4: Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose and audience.
Anticipatory Set (5 min.)
SDAIE: Model: Library Procedure: Before students head out to the library to get their ChromeBooks, teacher will review the library procedures and expectations.
Direct Instruction (15 min.)
SDAIE: Model: Email Signature/Google Classroom/KAMI: Teacher will model to students how to create an email signature to be attached to their emails. By doing so it will ensure teachers know who sent out the email incase they forget to type their names. Teacher will then walk students with setting up their Google Classroom. Finally teacher will help students to add KAMI to their ChromeBooks so they could complete their assignments.
Guided Practice (10 min.)
SDAIE: Model: TCI Textbooks: Teacher will show students how to access their textbook though the districts SB Link Portals. The link will be in the teachers Google Classroom to make it easier for students to access the textbook. Students will log in and select the TCI textbook.
Independent Practice (15 min.)
SDAIE: TPS: Email: Student’s will be send an email to Mr. Moreno do demonstrate they had completed their signature attachment. This will also work to familiarize them with sending emails to the teacher.
SDAIE: Metacognition: Google Classroom/KAMI: Students will successfully add Moreno's Google Classroom and KAMI as well to help complete the assignments.

Lesson Modifications for GATE, RSP, and EL Students
EL: Projector (visuals), questioning, chunking, cognitive words, repetition, translation in Spanish.
RSP: Projector (visuals), questioning, modified assignments, check for understandings.
GATE: Require answers that will demonstrate depth and complexity of fertilization.
