7.3 Students analyze the geographic, political, economic, religious, and social structures of the civilizations of China in the Middle Ages.
8.3.5: Know the significance of domestic resistance movements and ways in which the central government responded to such movements (e.g., Shays’ Rebellion, the Whiskey Rebellion).
8.4.1: Describe the country’s physical landscapes, political divisions, and territorial expan sion during the terms of the first four presidents.

Direct Instruction (10 min.)
8th Grade-SDAIE: Model: Mt. Vernon VR Trip: Teacher will explain the assignment about the Virtual Reality trip to Mt. Vernon and how to navigate the site and how to answer the questions.
7th Grade-SDAIE: Discussion: Gupta Golden Age: Teacher will go over the assignment in which they will work in a group to identify the achievements made during the Gupta's Golden Age.
Guided Practice (10 min.)
8th Grade-SDAIE: TPS: Mt. Vernon VR Trip: Teacher and students will go over the answers.
7th Grade-SDAIE: Monitor: Gupta Empire Golden Age: Teacher will walk around and monitor student progress and answer questions if needed.
Independent Practice (22 min.)
8th Grade-SDAIE: Chunking/QW/Video Clips: Mt. Vernon VR: Students will give themselves a self guided VR tour of Mt. Vernon and answer questions like a scavenger hunt. Set of 5 questions per location and winner of each round gets a snack.
7th Grade-SDAIE: Group/TPS: Golden Age: Student will be grouped in 4's. Each group will be given one of the 7 achievements and will be tasked with reading about the achievement and writing what it was and how it improved the empire.
Homework.
Finish what was not finished in class during class time if applicable for that day
