Anticipatory Set (5 min.)
Starter Quiz: Metacognition: Students will complete their Starter Quiz based on last weeks starters.
Direct Instruction (5 min.)
SDAIE: Direct Teach/Video Clips: Migration to Medina: Teacher will go over the hardships Muhammad encountered and how he overcame them as he began to spread and unite the Arabian Peninsula under the religion of Islam.
Guided Practice (5min.)
SDAIE: TPS/Video Clip: Muhammad's Teachings Meet with Rejections: Teacher and students will go over the answers to the the Cornell notes explaining the hardships encountered by Muhammad has he began to teach Islam in the Arabian Peninsula.
Independent Practice (10 min.)
SDAIE: Close Paragraph/Cornell Notes/TPS: Muhammad and Islam Close Paragraph: Students will will use their Cornell Notes to complete a close paragraph summary of the origins of Islam.
