2. Assessed on the China's dynasty, inventions, and impact the civil service exams had on Imperial China. (7th)

Anticipatory Set (5 min.)

Daily Journal: Read today's passage of "This day in history" and identify the 5 W's by highlighting the passage and finally answering the Essential Question.

Guided Practice (10 min.)

8^th Grade-SDAIE: TPS: Madison & Monroe Review: Students will have 10 minutes to continue working on their review graphic organizer from yesterday. Assignment should've been done. Students who are finished will utilize that time to study.

7^th Grade-SDAIE: TPS: China Review: Students will have 10 minutes to continue working on their review graphic organizer from yesterday. Assignment should've been done. Students who are finished will utilize that time to study.

Independent Practice (22 min.)

8^th Grade-SDAIE: Metacognition/CER: Madison and Monroe: Students will complete the test. Once they are done with the multiple choice section they will answer the two short response questions using the CER method.

7^th Grade-SDAIE: Metacognition/CER: Imperial China Test: Students will complete the test. Once they are done with the multiple choice section they will answer the two short response questions using the CER method.
