7.6.3: Understand the development of feudalism, its role in the medieval European economy, the way in which it was influenced by physical geography (the role of the manor and the growth of towns), and how feudal relationships provided the foundation of political order.

SDAIE: Discussion: Charlemagne: Teacher will recap the reading that was completed on Friday to get the kids back on pace with today's lesson about writing an obituary about Charlemagne.

SDAIE: Group TPS/ CER: Charlemagne's Obituary: Teacher and students will look at an example of an obituary so students could use as a model. Teacher and students will come up with what accomplishments should be mentioned about Charlemagne.
