7.5 Students analyze the geographic, political, economic, religious, and social structures of the civilizations of Medieval Japan.
7.5.1: Describe the significance of Japan’s proximity to China and Korea and the intellectual, linguistic, religious, and philosophical influence of those countries on Japan.
Expected Student Outcomes (Objective)
Students will be able to:
1. Understand the growth of music in medieval Japan.
2. Complete the SBCUSD Panorama Survey.

Anticipatory Set (3 min.)
Daily Journals: Students will take their Weekly Journal Quiz based on their starters from last week.
Direct Instruction (5 min.)
SDAIE: Model: Panoramic Survey: Teacher will model on how to get the students ready to take the Panoramic Survey. Link will be provided in their Google Classroom.
Guided Practice (x min.)
SDAIE: TPS: Progress Monitor: Teacher will progress monitor students taking the survey. Teacher will provide help to students who are working on their missing assignments.
Independent Practice (20 min.)
SDAIE: Metacognition: Panoramic Survey: Students will take the Panoramic Survey that is mandatory from the district. It is a series of three surveys dealing with climate and culture, equity and inclusion, and social emotional learning.
SDAIE: Metacognition: Missing Assignments: Students will work on missing assignments they have based on the Unit of Japan.
Homework.
