The Homeland Has Been Lost

The Homeland Has Been Lost

By Tarif Youssef-Agha

The Homeland has been lost

Amongst he who called himself Abu-Baker (The Sunni ISIS leader),

He who called himself Hassen (the Shiite Lebanese Party of God leader),

He who inherited the presidency (the Syrian dictator Assad)

The one who, as his father, was turned into an idol

And those who are fighting under their flags

With a leash in the neck of each one of them

Amongst a neighbor (Israel) which occupies our land and steals our water (The Golan)

Therefore, insists that the dictator (Assad) should stay in power at any price,

A Republic which calls itself Islamic (Iran)

Which waits for the Time-Imam to come back

But, meanwhile, doesn’t have any shame to

Occupy its neighbors, secretly and openly,

Amongst a war-criminal (Putin of Russia) who made himself a Tsar

While his heart and conscious are made of mold, and with his airplanes

The blood of our children keeps running like rivers

Our people will curse him more than they curse Satan,

And, finally, amongst those who call themselves our friends

While, every one of them is a hypocrite

Every one of them stabbed us in the back

And mixed the food they gave us with poison.

All those who control the destiny of the world are thugs

They made us hostages in their hands

Oh Homeland, be patient

We will save you from all that trash

We will rebuild you with Freedom and Dignity

Your best day will come tomorrow
