And I Say to the rest of the Arabs
By Tarif Youssef Agha
I say to Bashar ‘stop claiming that your regime is secular!’
The distance between you and secularism is like that between ground and sky
Secularism is about science, and your regime is about illiteracy
Secularism is about law, and your law is to kill
In secularism, there is no ‘presidency inheriting’ or military ruling
And no favoring of one sect over the others
The closest thing to your regime is the Mafia
And the best color for your flag is the color of blood
I also say to the leaders of ISIS ‘stop hurting the name of religion’
Any one who has a brain can see that you have nothing to do with it
The first lesson in religion is Mercy
Meanwhile, if Mercy was a creature, you would call it an enemy
The second lesson is Tolerance
Meanwhile your claim that you are tolerant is a big fat lie
The best description to your organization is barbarism
The war you waged against the revolution came to help the enemies
You don’t differ from the gang of the (Assad) regime, it doesn’t differ from you
To humanity, both of you are epidemics whose only cure is fire
I say to the world that claims to be civil
‘Your politics allowed those criminals to slaughter innocents’
For four years now, you have been doing nothing but talking
The deal of the chemical weapons proved that you have been deceiving
Lies, deadlines, hypocrisy and turning a blind eye
Theatrical committees, mediators and red lines
And for forty years before that, your ‘civil’ world has been enjoying watching
A gang that was busy turning cities and humans into remains
Oh world, have you forgotten Hama (massacre)? Do you want me to remind you?
Were have you been when it was eliminated?
You, the eastern and western world,
You are the world who manufactured both, Bashar and ISIS
You are the manufacturer, intentionally or unintentionally
So save your tears and your empty statements
If we have to classify what you have been accomplishing lately
We find out that it was either barking or howling
Fighting terrorism starts with Bashar before anyone else
Anything else is nothing but air bubbles
Anything else is nothing but pretending
Or like trying to put down a forest fire with a cup of water
And I say to the rest of the Arabs ‘Wait for your turn’
No oil, alliance or loyalty will protect you
Lebanon was first, and then Iraq followed
And now, Yemen became a hostage to the traitors
The sword which is touring Syria with bloody news today
Will deliver the same news to the rest of the Arabs tomorrow
