A Letter to Putin
A Letter to Putin
By Tarif Youssef Agha
Oh Putin, they say that you are related to Fig, (Bu-Teen in Arabic means Dad of Fig)
That is unfair to the Fig. It is even unfair to compare you to a fruit-case
And if they evaluate you in the market of men,
We will see a dive in the market prices
They also say that you are a gang boss,
But even a gang would feel ashamed if it was related to you
How stupid all the invaders are; to keep falling in the same hole over and over again,
Even a donkey doesn’t fall in the same hole twice
Oh Putin, we know you invaded Syria for the warm waters (The Mediterranean),
You won’t find anything in it but free fighters
You came to Syria to save the juvenile inheritor (Assad inherited Syria from his dad),
You sent heavy armies to support him
Oh Putin, ‘Birds of a feather flock together’
You, Assad and those alike were created to be evil
You came to Syria to fight terrorists while you are their leader,
Those who support butchers are the worst terrorists
And to those who told you that your war in Syria is a holy one, I say
What they told you looks like a chimney tossing black smoke
There is nothing holy about the war but its end,
There is nothing holy in making blood run like rivers
Leave God alone and tell the truth,
And the truth is that you came to shower us with your bombs
And to force whoever is left of our people out,
Into the sea or the desert
You always were and you always will be the allies of the oppressors,
And by saying that you are a bunch of criminals, I wouldn’t be revealing any secret
Oh Putin, your ally, the children killer (Assad), will fly away no matter what you do,
And we wish to see your head flying away too
You made a pledge to kill us or to force us to run for our lives,
Therefore, we also made a pledge to grill you over a raging fire
Welcome to the holocaust of the age, where we will make you the fuel,
Along with the Persians, Assad’s thugs, and the stones

A few days ago, the Russian fighter jets started bombing the positions of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and its allies, avoiding the positions of ISIS and causing heavy casualty among civilians.
