Should I introduce you to the Regime of Resistance?
By Tarif Youssef-Agha
Should I introduce you to the regime of resistance?
It is a regime that turned the rulers into gods
It transferred the whole country, horizontally and vertically
With its streets and squares, into shrines to worship the ruler
It made the people knee for him day and night
While he is not worthy to even be a doorman
He came from a family of criminals
Where every one of them was a butcher
Said the truth, the one who said,
The ruler belongs to the monsters’ family
Every time a calamity takes place in the Homeland
The ruler has something to do with it, or he is its godfather
He filled rivers with blood from his people
And turned the Homeland into blazes and ruins
He kept supplying his people with cups filled with death
Until death became their daily drink
He killed them with bullets and canons
He planted their bodies with knives and spears
Any one who works to make peace with him is
Not better than any one who is chasing a mirage
This is a regime where no one becomes its head unless
He is a boss of a gang, or an agent of a gang
Where all the ministers are thieves
And all the managers are either pimps or crooks
This is the regime of the resistance
Only in removing it, you find blessing
