The heat was on from the sun and the racing at The Bus Stop
A very warm afternoon sailing on the bank felt quite like summer. Nine warm to hot skippers racing today gave a very competitive feel to the afternoon. Standouts today were Craig 978 and Mark 488. They were trying extra hard and I think I saw Craig 978 grab a win. Success was not easy to find today with the odd light patch and the big swings to the west. The start line Nigel 168 set was fairly square, but if you watched for the oscillations there were advantageous ends available for good starts
Some of you might have noticed a bit of end shuffling going on and it's always good to check around for advantages. Beats to the finish made the racing interesting today. A good weather layed course Nigel 168.
Gripping RTW races were a feature again today. Nigel 168 fronted up and took out the first two races and Pete 197 sneakec the third unidirectional race by a small margin from Clive 997.
As is usual, nine happy skippers wandered off into the sunset for a cuppa tea and a lie down.
