Monday turned out to be a cracker day with a lot of breeze. Nine masked crusaders turned out and tested their boat handling skills in up to 20 knots from WSW. Top marks for how the skippers managed the heavy gusts. I think the Dragon Boat was the only one that headed for the reeds out of control a couple of times. Some rig control adjustments are under way.
A good spread of wins with John from Rotorua setting the pace in early races. He admitted later that rig adjustments had helped a lot.
