A funny old day at The Bus Stop.

Eight hardy skippers turned out today for some slow motion sailing. Disappointingly, the breeze didn't come as per forecast, but was ok for most of the afternoon. We raced under cloudy skies and threatening rain. Unfortunately a shower upset things mid afternoon and looked to be setting in. Half the fleet disappeared while the rest of us sailed on. Guess what? That was the last we saw of the rain. Pat 39 had disappeared for some shopping and he noticed the improvement and turned up back at The Bus Stop to give us a fleet of five who raced on. Merv left after a while so it was back to four.

 However, the reduced fleet raced on and the wind started to die, so we did a couple of RTW won by Pat 39 and Pete 179 and the second one was really hard through lack of breeze. Nigel 168, who had been struggling a bit looked up the lake and sniffed a breeze then ordered another RTW which he duly won in a tight finish with Clive 997. So that is the story of another day in the history of The Bus Stop.
