After Saturday sailing at Tauranga Lakes myself and David H wend to see John F to see if we could borrow his Canterbury J Class while he is out of action.
John kindly said yes, and we all drove down the road to pick up his J. A beautiful Canty J Class ready to race. Mega thanks John, thank you so much. This will keep us going until we can Buy / Build a new J.
After an all nighter on my voice steering project, I had a Bluetooth Low Energy break threw, I had an un tested transmitter and phone ready to beta test by 11am.,,,
I jumped in the truck and off to Waihi with a new J Class and Transmitter in tow for Lunchtime Sailing.
I arrived at the Lake. A 1/2 knot breeze in the carpark bay. Good starting strength for testing.
The gear fired up well and I launched the J. Left, Left, Left ! But she was turning Right, then more Right ? Then I realized... You stupid idiot !!!!!
I had tested the stick control at home, but not the voice rudder control direction. I decide to continue test sailing, but when you say have to say Left when you really want to go right is not easy.
