A mighty day's sailing at The Bus Stop.
A hardy ten skippers donned some warm clothes and showed up at The Bus Stop for some thrilling sailing. The breeze today was the best we have had for some time. Right down the lake and not shifting much. Our little boats got knocked over and spun out etc, but that was what the day gave us. Boat handling by the boys was bordering on excellent. Pete 197 thought it was appropriate to flash his 'B Rig'. When the wind was up it was OK, but a number of firsts round the top mark saw the 'A Rigs' gallop off down wind to take the lead away. Great fun.
As the year moves on we will get plenty of days when the wind is up. Perhaps it is a good time to spend a wee bit of housekeeping, or tax rebates on a 'B Rig' to give you the option to sail better in higher winds. Lester 17 was heading home to hit the online shopping basket after today's event.
A great day on the water, Pat 39 cleared out and won the RTW - well done Pat.
